SharePoint has seen tremendous uptake across a range of different scenarios within many varied organizations. And, with Microsoft’s recent acquisition of FAST for Enterprise Search and the continued investments into the SharePoint Web platform, SharePoint is poised to continue to provide great economies of scale and productivity for companies. Through customer examples, we will see innovative uses of SharePoint today and look at a sneak peek of where SharePoint is going in powering Microsoft’s next generation cloud platform.

Tom Rizzo, Director of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, has worked at Microsoft for the past 10 years in a variety of roles in Microsoft¹s server products, including Exchange Server, SharePoint, BizTalk Server SQL Server.

Tom is also the author of a series of Microsoft Press books.
